Bought brand new from Metro VW of Irving Texas in May of 2004, this fun-to-drive manual transmission Bug has spent its entire life right here in the North Texas area. We just took this one in on trade from an adult owner who loved this car but decided he wanted something larger. If you've been shopping for a cute little bug that is free from many of the common cosmetic issues that seem to plague just about all of these cars, then this Slug Bug might just be the one for you. And it's harder-to-find Turbo motor makes driving this great little car even more fun - without sacrificing fuel economy or engine longevity. We love our Bugs! They are very reliable; have a 5-Star Safety Rating; are inexpensive to own and maintain; and are well built. In government crash testing, the Beetle earned five stars in both frontal impact categories. It received a "Good" rating (and "Best Pick" status) from the IIHS in frontal offset crash testing. We've sold dozens and dozens of the pre-2006 models over the years and its been extremely rare that any one of them has had any major issues. On the road, this VW is powered by VW's well-known and reliable 1.8-Liter 4-Cylinder Turbocharged engine that produces a zippy 150 horsepower (vs. only 115 horsepower for the regular Beetles) while still returning up to 30 mpg on the highway. Mechanically, this starts, runs, drives and shifts exactly like you'd expect it to. The rear 225/45R17 tires mounted on upgraded 17" Alloy Wheels are in excellent condition while the front 235/45R17 tires are in good condition. Of note are the front suspension end-links which do make some noise when braking and would need addressed in the near future. Outside, this rust-free VDub sports a beautiful Shimmering Silver Metallic Paint Scheme that is complimented by a 2-Tone Black & Grey Leather interior. Inside, this smoke-free New Beetle Turbo S is in good condition! It is loaded up with amenities & equipment, including Leather, Heated Seats, a Power Sunroof, Monsoon Audio, Cold A/C, Power Windows, Locks & Mirrors, Cruise Control, Keyless Entry and more. The interior of this car is in very nice condition for its age without several of the 'Bug Issues' you seen in many older Beetles; including heavily scarred dashes, broken door handles (we've replaced them with longer lasting aluminum handles), busted gloveboxes, etc. Of note though is a broken center console lid. If you've grown tired of looking at Beetles that are beat-up, abused and in very poor condition, then this is the one for you! Our bugs don't last long and this nice looking one probably won't either - especially at this low price. Don't let this great-looking Bug pass you by!
