The first list of finalists for the World Car of the Year Award is ready and we will meet the winners in April during the New York Auto Show. The 'World Car of the Year' is one of the most prestigious awards in the automotive industry and is rated by 66 renowned journalists from all over the world. The Porsche 911 is the only one nominated in both categories: sports car and car of the year.

The 10 finalists for best car of the year are:

These lists of 10 finalists will be reduced to 10 during the Geneva Auto show, and then we will know what the winner is on April 5 during the Auto show in New York.


This 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS is the only car nominated in both categories
