The Tundra and Tacoma are highlighted in the role to their performance and capabilities and in real life for their durability and for the rewarding and relevant experience of handling that each of these offers and this, in the truck segment, it is essential since the vast majority of these machines are bought for the heavy lifting.
As if the arduous tasks which they are subjected were little, the Tacoma and the Tundra also have to confront the Ford F-Series, the Chevy Silverado and the Dodge Ram of Chrysler, representing three formidable obstacles for the penetration of Toyota in the field of large trucks. Also, the Nissan Frontier, along with the Chevy Colorado, represents a similar challenge in the medium truck segment. These are the best pickup trucks from Toyota:
TOYOTA TACOMA
The Toyota Tacoma is a midsize truck and the most sold in the United States. Its performance and competence have gained the esteem of a large segment of the American public. During 2011, Toyota Tacoma sold two units for each unit of its nearest competitor. For 2012, Toyota redesigned the Tacoma's external appearance; in short, all of its front end is new.

The new hood, grille, and bumper give it a modern look, aggressive and strong, which prepares the Tacoma to keep its leadership in the segment of medium-sized trucks in 2012.
 Toyota Tacoma: engine and powertrain
Toyota Tacoma: engine and powertrainToyota offers two engine choices for the Tacoma. The first is a 4-cylinder engine of 2.7 liters and power of 159 horsepower that can be docked to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. Too bad Toyota did not update the transmission to a 5-speed; the fifth is completely necessary.

The other option is a 4-liter V6 that generates 236 horsepower and is available with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic transmission. The Toyota Tacoma is also available with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive and has a maximum towing capacity of 6,500 pounds.
 Toyota Tacoma: body styles
Toyota Tacoma: body stylesThe Toyota Tacoma offers three body styles. First is the Regular Cab with room for two people, followed by the Access Cab with capacity for 4 people and where the mini rear doors open at 80 degrees for easy access to the tiny rear compartment, and closes the Double Cab with capacity for 5 people and complete backdoors.
Toyota Tacoma: Cab and interior styles
Toyota Tacoma: Cab and interior stylesThe Tacoma interior was also redesigned for 2012 with a new instrument panel with a sporty and smooth look. The steering wheel and instruments were also improved. The front seats are spacious, comfortable, and provide sufficient support for long trips. The rear seats in the Access Cab version are two flat bench seats only suitable for short trips; however, in the Double Cab version are similar to the seats of an SUV and very comfortable. The 2012 Toyota Tacoma will be one of the first Toyota cars to offer the information and entertainment system on board.

TOYOTA TUNDRA
The Toyota Tundra is a full-size truck from Toyota, exclusive to the U.S. market. The Tundra was originally designed and manufactured to give Toyota supremacy in the United States in one of the segments that has found it more difficult to obtain a dominant position. For this purpose, Toyota built an assembly plant dedicated to manufacturing the Tundra in the state of Texas. However, the experience has not been easy, as the Tundra, though it is a large truck, has not been able to overturn the position of absolute dominance of local brands.

 Toyota Tundra: Powertrain and engine
Toyota Tundra: Powertrain and engineToyota offers three engines for the Tundra. First, a 4-liter V6 that generates 270horsepower and which can only be configured with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Then there are two V8 engine options of the Toyota i-Force family, 4.6 and 5.7-liter, with a power of 310 and 381 horsepower, respectively. Both engines are docked to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Toyota Tundra may be configured with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive and has a maximum towing capacity of 10,400 pounds.
 Toyota Tundra: body styles
Toyota Tundra: body stylesThe Toyota Tundra offers three body style options: Regular with two doors and room for two people, Double Cab with 4 doors and up to 5 people and Crew Cab also 4-door, but with capacity for 6 people and ample space for cargo, which turns it into the most spacious cabin of the segment of large trucks.

 Toyota Tundra: Cab and interior
Toyota Tundra: Cab and interiorThere is no doubt that the cabin of the Toyota Tundra was designed with a premeditated job in mind. From its central console where you can store a laptop and hanging file folders to their huge rotary knobs so that they can be handled with gloves construction. Everything in the Tundra is synonymous with work.

This does not mean the cab is lacking in good design touches, which abound and provide a nice look inside the Tundra. The Tundra's cabin is extremely roomy in all its bodies, and all of them the cargo space is plentiful.
 Toyota Tundra: Handling
Toyota Tundra: HandlingToyota Tundra engines tend to provide more power at low revs, which is ideal in a work truck. The 5.7-liter V8 engine is particularly pleasant to use thanks to its immediate response and smoothness of operation. Both transmissions work as promised in Toyota's reputation, are efficient and smooth, but it is the 6-speed transmission that takes our applause for the assertiveness of its changes; it seems to read and anticipate the thoughts of the driver.
The reaction of the chassis does not make you doubt that you are driving a truck; the jumps can be present, but the strength of well-calibrated steering compensates for the lack of suspension. Of course, these are the characteristics of a truck trip like the Tundra.
 Toyota Tundra: models
Toyota Tundra: modelsThe level of equipment of the Tundra ranges from the basic model to the luxurious Tundra Limited, but even the basic model offers useful options such as disc brakes on all four wheels, storage spaces of all kinds for both heavy-duty materials to documentation, and sensitive equipment.
Among the options available for the Tundra are leather-covered seats, a navigation system, a backup camera, and an entertainment system at the rear of the cabin with two screens, you know, for when builders want to watch the news in the morning.
