The recognized American firm Motor Trend, revealed recently and after many tests, which is best car of the year 2013 for them, the Cadillac CTS 2014.
For including a vehicle as a participant in the Car of the Year, Motor Trend first considers if the unit is completely brand new or significantly revamped to increase its value.
Secondly, price is taken into account; originally, the maximum was $100,000, but with inflation, it has risen to $120,000.
From this perspective 22 candidates were chosen to compete for the prize. Among these were vehicles as simple as the Kia Forte, Mazda 3 , to luxurious and sports like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or the SRT Viper.
Then the next stage was driving the selected cars for several days under different tests, thus leaving 11 finalists.
In the last stage, the mediators participated in thorough tests planning long driving routes outside the city of Tehachapi, California.
12 judges took part in its election
Finally, with information on the miles driven, quantified data, and records examined, 12 judges, specialists in the automotive environment, were gathered to deliberate the winner, who was the CTS, which in 2008 won the same award.
Well, we all know that the new Cadillac CTS isn't a cheap car, but just in case you are interested or want to know, its cheapest model, which is the 2014 CTS Coupe, starts at $39,495. The 4-door sedan model starts at $45,100. I just wonder, do you think it is worth it?
