Skoda’s first car model is the Voiturette A, which was launched in 1905. After World War I, Skoda released the Popular model, which was produced in the 1930s and among the bestsellers during that time. When World War II ended in 1945, production of the 1101 series started.

Skoda then continued on producing reliable tough cars such as the 1201 series, Estelle and Rapid. When the Volkswagen Group acquired the carmaker in the 1990s, Skoda cars became even more valuable.

Skoda made use of the expertise of Volkswagen in further enhancing the design of its cars. Since the acquisition, Skoda cars’ style and engineering improved significantly. Today, Skoda’s range of cars competes with the best in the industry. The new Octavia has been making waves as a sports car. The Skoda Octavia has made respectable finishes in world race car events. A new generation Skoda Octavia will soon be out in the market with more power and comfort than its predecessors.

The upcoming third generation of Octavia will be brandishing a powerful 1.4 TSI engine and a brand new look. The Fabia model is also another popular model of the Skoda. Its hatchback version is also a promising car. The Fabia Hatchback is perfect for the young and hip with its energetic and elegant appearance. This new version sports an environmentally friendly engine yielding low carbon dioxide emissions.

Another excellent Skoda car is the Superb model. From its name alone, it can already be inferred that the car is truly “superb.” The Superb boasts of a combination of the features of a liftback and a Sedan. It has a patented TwinDoor system that allows its rear boot and the rear window to be opened altogether to put in bulky items. If smaller ones are to be placed inside and only the boot needs to be opened, it can be done so. A 1.8 TSI engine powers this elegant car along with a seven-speed automatic transmission.

There are many other car types that Skoda offers to the public. Models such as the Roomster and Felicia offer the same comfort, reliability and performance as the above types of cars. Using Volkswagen’s engineering, Skoda contract hire cars are definitely at par with the other brands in the market.
